Patey for Prez 2012

I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat, since both parties have lost sight of the original tenets that they were based upon. Parasitism will continue to flourish as long as we look at our leaders in these black and white terms (double entendre not intended).

The Non-Party is a reformation of the bastardized system we are all currently victims of. Nowhere in the constitution does it state that we have only two choices for elected officials, yet the monetization of our election process leaves no room for the true voice of America to resonate in legislation and our collective future.

Yes, there are the Green parties and other such one-offs, but all of them lean towards extremes. The Non-Party will be guided by common sense as opposed to special interest.

Here are my initial thoughts on a few hot button issues. Call me a fool, poke holes in my logic and offer a better suggestion. The President works for the people as a public servant, the Non-Party will never forget this.
Economy: Our main tenet is “no free rides.” This goes for Americans as well as the countries that continue to suckle from our ample teats of good-will.

The only Americans that can’t work are coma victims and the dead. Even if you are paralyzed and can only blow through a straw, we will hook that straw up to a power generator and you will blow into it 8 hours a day to create clean energy for your monthly disability check.

We will still send aid in the way of food supplies to other countries, but again you will work for it. If you want three square meals a day we invite you to work on our assembly line in General Motors Ethiopia. If our forefathers could work an assembly line with little to no education than Cluck-Cluck-Pop-Umbato can as well.

Education: The days when a college education is the panacea of success is slowly subsiding. Education is more than just focusing on abstract thoughts and pontificating about the nature of man. We have a large population that can pay to have things done, but very few that can do things for themselves (I know I’m one of them). As long as we have a physical presence in this world we will always have physical needs, tradesmen are vital. Yes, we will always need dreamers to guide the doers, but for right now the scale is off-balance.

The public education system will embrace the “shop” kids instead of giving them the stigma that I just put in quotes. We will raise the bar on salaries for these specialized skills to entice America’s youth to learn a trade rather than sitting mindlessly in a call center or performing data entry.

War on Drugs: Will continue, because drugs are bad….mmmmmkay? However, man is a self-destructive species and we all continue to look for releases in our substance chapels.

Anything that can kill you on the first, puff, snort, or mainline will still be banned. Whatever kills you over time will be taxed and sold exactly like tobacco and alcohol (teo substances that do kill you over time). Hypocritical no doubt, but my true desire to legalize and tax everything and let Darwinism take the wheel probably would resonate with all Americans.

All lumberjacks will be retrained to cut down hemp.

Foreign Affairs: If you want to be our friend we will embrace you, if not – die. Also, no foreign affairs jobs will be handed out simply on name recognition alone. My Secretary of State will be multi-lingual and cultural rather than just someone who got the high hard one from an ex-president.

Exploration: Once the budget is balanced we will once again begin exploration of the universe. What made our country thrive over the past two hundred years was a manifest destiny to explore and settle unknown territories.

The simple fact is that these days even the darkest regions of the world a GPS satellite can pinpoint your location to within one mile.

Our economy has also thrived on an abundant source of resources that are now beginning to subside. We have eight celestial neighbors brimming with resources, let’s mine them.

Also, the fruits of this pillar of exploration will cascade throughout other industries just like the space program of the 1960’s.

What else? Let’s start talking….
